TASTING NOTES:

LIGHTLY VEGETAL

Earthy and green, vegetal notes evoke the taste of fresh, tender vegetables like spinach or green beans, offering a savory, slightly grassy flavor with a crisp finish.

CREAMY

Luxuriously smooth and rich, creamy notes envelop the palate with a velvety texture, evoking fresh cream or luscious custard.

UMAMI

Deep and savory, umami notes bring a satisfying richness, with hints of brothy or seaweed-like complexity that ground the tea's flavor profile.

REGION:
UJI, JAPAN

Uji, located near Kyoto in Japan, is one of the country's oldest and most prestigious tea-growing regions, renowned for producing exceptional matcha, Gyokuro, and Sencha. The region's temperate climate features warm, humid summers and mild winters, coupled with ample rainfall—ideal for tea cultivation.

Morning mists from nearby rivers, such as the Uji River, provide natural shading that enhances the development of theanine, giving Uji teas their signature sweet, umami-rich flavor. The area's fertile soils and centuries-old cultivation techniques, including meticulous shading methods for premium teas, make Uji a symbol of excellence in Japanese tea production.
